BUTLER COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities and USD 490 El Dorado school officials are investigating alleged sex crimes.
On April 5, Detectives from the El Dorado Police Department and School Resource Officers with USD 490 investigated a report of a sexually motivated crime with a suspect not affiliated with the school district, according to Deputy Police Chief Jeff Murphy.
The investigation led to the arrest of 50-year-old Patrick A. Jeffers from El Dorado. He is being held on requested charges that include multiple counts of Aggravated Criminal Sodomy and Rape.
Police said they are grateful for their partnership with the Sunlight Child Advocacy Center and USD 490 in addressing these particular heinous crimes.
