JOHNSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are using a unique new tool to stop criminals. A couple of Lenexa police dayshift sergeants were out patrolling earlier this month when they tried to make a traffic stop that turned out to be a stolen car.
The driver attempted to elude but he was no match for the Grappler Police Bumper.
The driver was safely taken into custody and charged by the Johnson County District Attorneys Office with the stolen car, felony fleeing, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
"More great work by our officers to combat crime in our community, and doing so safely and effectively using the latest tools and resources."
