SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating another deadly shooting in Wichita and searching for a suspect.
Just after 5a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a 911 call in the 1000 block of S. Market in Wichita, according to police spokesman Andrew Ford. Officers found no victim or witness.
A short time later, officers were dispatched to a call in the 900 block of S. Market Street where they discovered a man with a gunshot wound to his lower extremities. Sedgwick County EMS transported the victim in critical condition to an area hospital. He was pronounced deceased at 6:00 a.m.
Police have no suspect is in custody and have not released the name of the victim.
