FRANKLIN COUNTY——Law enforcement across Kansas continue to ticket drivers traveling far above the posted speed limit.

On Tuesday, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported a trooper recently stopped a motorcycle in Franklin County traveling 168 mph in a 75 mph zone. The fine was $1,140.00, according to the ticket.

"Speeds like that put everyone on the road at risk. Remember, no matter where you're headed, it's more important to get there safely than on time. Help us keep you and your loved ones safe by slowing down!"

"Speed limits aren’t suggestions, they’re there to save lives. "
