SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Kansas man convicted in a fatal hit-and-run will learn his fate on Friday.
Andrew Fibert, 21, is scheduled for a sentencing hearing in the courtroom of Judge Sean Hatfield. In July Fibert pleaded no contest to a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident and a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence in the death of 29-year-old Adam Wayne Condit, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
Condit of Wichita, died after he was struck by a pickup shortly after midnight March 15, 2025 in the 5800 block of West Windmill Road, according to Sheriff's Department spokesman Branden Stitt. Law enforcement asked the public for help to find the vehicle.
On Friday, March 20, detectives arrested Andrew Eugene Fibert, 21, of Wichita in connection with the crash, according to Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department Spokesman Branden Stitt.
