Motorcyclist dies after I-70 rear-end crash in traffic

DICKINSON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 5p.m. Friday in Dickinson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by William L. Anyan, 67, Athens, Georgia, was eastbound on Interstate 70 four miles east of Abilene.

The motorcycle rear-ended a 2008 Chevy Equinox driven by Roberto L. Perez, 38, Manhattan who was stopped in traffic from an earlier accident.

Anyan was pronounced dead at was transported to Ryan's Mortuary.

Perez was not injured. A passenger in the Equinox identified as Hunter Rose, 32, Manhattan, was treated at the scene and released. Anyan was wearing a helmet, according to the KHP.
