Amber Alert canceled: Suspect captured, 1-year-old is safe

KANSAS CITY —The Missouri State Highway Patrol has cancelled the Amber Alert for a missing 1-year-old who had been reported seen in Kansas City. The suspect identified as 38-year-old Kamilah Johnson was captured in Minnesota. The boy was also found and is safe, according to the MSHP.

KANSAS CITY —On Feb. 27, the Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert in Kansas City for a missing 1-year-old Noah Johnson from Houston, Texas.

The boy was last seen with 38-year-old Kamilah Johnson at a Walmart on West 133rd Street in Kansas City, Missouri, on February 26, 2024, at 9:45p.m. They were traveling in a white 2007 GMC Yukon with a Texas license plate of STM7097.

The boy was wearing a navy shirt and pants with a flower pattern. Authorities say the child has a serious health issue.

The state of Texas filed paperwork to remove the boy from his mother Kamilah Johnson's custody, according to the MSHP.
