JOHNSON COUNTY —The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes did damage in Johnson County Sunday night.
According to a survey by the National Weather Service, the first tornado rated EF1 with maximum winds of 110mph. It was on the ground in the city of Shawnee from 10:31 to 10:36p.m., traveled 1.75 miles and had a maximum width of 105 yards.
The second tornado in Prairie Village and Mission Hills also rate EF1 with estimated peak winds of 95mph. It was on the ground from 10:39p.m. -10:45p.m, traveled 2.72 miles and had a maximum width of 150 yards.
There were no injuries or fatalities reported.
