SUMNER COUNTY –Law enforcement and fire crews are investigating the cause of an anhydrous ammonia leak that shut down portions of rural Sumner County late Wednesday.
The Sumner County Sheriff's office asked the public to avoid the area between Morris and Milan road from U.S. 160 highway north to 40th Avenue. U.S. 160 highway was closed from Ryan Road to Morris Road.
Crews responded to the scene and worked as quickly as possible to get the area evacuated and under control.
Just after 11p.m. Wednesday, the sheriff's office reported the leak had dissipated. All roads in the area are open. There were no injuries reported.
