KANSAS CITY —Authorities are investigating another homicide in Kansas City and have identified the victim as 33-year-old William C. Wright, according to KCPD Sgt. Phil DiMartino.
Just before 2p.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to a shooting at the intersection of E. 9th Street and Van Brunt Boulevard, according to Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
First responders were summoned to the sidewalk where Wright was located unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot trauma. Responding officers immediately began rendering medical aid until EMS could respond and take over. EMS personnel responded and declared the victim deceased shortly after arrival.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently unknown and no one is in custody, according to Gonzalez
