SALINE COUNTY —A Kansas man died in an accident just after 10:30p.m. Thursday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 driven by Brandon L Doherty, 37, Salina, was westbound on Kansas 143 just west of U.S. 81 at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the pickup. It struck a guardrail and overturned into the north ditch.
Doherty was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing seat belt, according to the KHP.
