KANSAS CITY —A woman injured in a shooting in Kansas City has died.
Just before 1a.m. June 17, police responded to a shooting at 3200 E. Linwood, according to Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
Upon arrival officers located 29-year-old Taylor Thomas lying in the yard just to the east of a nearby building suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. EMS transported her to an area hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
On Thursday police learned Thomas had died. This is being investigated as a homicide and detectives are making progress identifying a person of interest, according to Gonzalez.
