HARVEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas woman on multiple allegations after an altercation in Newton.
Just after 10p.m. Oct. 13, police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at around 10 p.m. Friday in the 300 Block of East Second Street in Newton, according to a media release.
During the investigation, officers determined that a man and a woman later identified as 31-year-old Kayla Osborn of Newton had a physical fight culminating with the her allegedly attempting to run over the man with a vehicle. The man also had injuries consistent with being struck in the head with an object.
Osborn had left the residence prior to officers’ arrival and was located at a secondary location a short time later and arrested her on preliminary charges of attempted second-degree murder, domestic battery, possession of methamphetamine, criminal damage, DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia.
