Police need help locating dog that bit Kan. woman out jogging

JOHNSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities in Overland Park are investigating a dog bite incident and asking for the public’s assistance with locating the dog involved.

The incident that occurred just before 10a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of 148th Street and Antioch Road, according to a statement from Overland Park Police.

A woman was jogging on the sidewalk. A man was walking a fawn/buckskin & black German shepherd when the dog lunged and bit the jogger.

The canine owner is described as a white male, in his 60’s, with white hair and glasses. He was wearing a red hat. The dog was on leash when this incident occurred. The injury sustained did require a dog bite report.
