ELLIS COUNTY — Jauwon Allen was located and arrested by the Hays Police Department Special Situation Response Team, according to a post on the HPD Facebook page.
Police released no additional details early Saturday.

ELLIS COUNTY —Law enforcement continue a search for a wanted Kansas felon. Jauwon Antonio Allen, 33, was the subject of a search in Hays Friday afternoon, according toa social media report from police.
On Friday evening, Hays Police reported that they believe Allen is no longer in Hays.
Police reported that they were seeking assistance in locating a the violent offender with a probation violation arrest warrant who fled from officers on Friday.
Allen is described as a black male, 5-foo-7 and around 200 pounds. He has a goatee and may be wearing a white tank top, grey sweatpants, and have a long-sleeve sweatshirt that is blue and red. If you see Jauwon Allen, do not approach him and call 911.
Allen has previous felony convictions for kidnapping, robbery, aggravated battery and aggravated escape from custody, according to the Kansas Dept. of Corrections.

Local law enforcement officials are looking for a fugitive male from community corrections in Hays.
In a Facebook post Hays Police said:
"Need assistance in locating a Violent Offender with a probation violation arrest warrant that fled from officers.
The suspect is a 33-year-old, black male, named Jauwon Antonio Allen. He is 5'07" and around 200 lbs. He has a goatee and may be wearing a white tank top, grey sweatpants, and have a long sleeve sweatshirt that is blue and red. If you see Jauwon Allen, do not approach him and call 911."
The male was reported last seen in southeast Hays.
