The City of Great Bend announced, via social media, that the intersections at 24th Street and Main, as well as 24th and Washington will be trafficked by temporary stop signs.
A power line was struck north of Main Street and caused a power outage.
"Due to circumstances outside of the city's control a powerline was struck North of 24th and Main causing a power outage at the 24th and Main intersection as well as 24th and Washington intersection. City crews have put out temporary stop signs."
Great Bend just had stop lights restored at 24th and Main Wednesday following two weeks of a four-way stop. A May 18 incident with a suspect fleeing from law enforcement led to the crash into the electrical box, causing the lights to go out.
