SHAWNEE COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a burglary and have a suspect in custody.

Just before 4:30a.m. Thursday, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at a building in the 6300 block of NW 17th Street, according to Deputy Shayna Anderson. 

At the scene, a deputy found evidence of forced entry and heard movement inside. 

The deputy located and arrested the suspect identified as&nbsp; Danny W. De La O, 27, of Topeka. He faces requested&nbsp;charges of burglary, theft and criminal damage to property.
