EDWARDS COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 1pm. Tuesday in Edwards County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 GMC pickup driven by John M. Rankin, 79, Dodge City, was northbound on 270th Avenue.
The vehicle came to a stop at 270th Avenue and U.S. 50 intersection. The driver then failed to yield and pulled out in the intersection. A 2016 Peterbilt semi driven by Stephen D. Temple, 62, Wichita, and the GMC pickup collided.
EMS transported Rankin to the Edwards County Hospital. Temple was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
