Sheriff: Kansas woman driving reported stolen car arrested

SHAWNEE COUNTY— Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas woman after she was stopped for allegedly driving a stolen car.

Just after 5a.m. Monday, Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 37th Street for a registration violation, according to Sgt. Todd Stallbaumer.  The vehicle, a 2010 Kia Forte, was reported stolen out of Independence, MO. 

Deputies arrested the driver, Kimberly K. Baker, 50, of Topeka,  and transported her to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Possession of stolen property, Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Driving while revoked and No insurance.
