Governor Laura Kelly held her first press briefing since April 28 Wednesday afternoon. It is also the first since she announced her Ad Astra Plan to reopen Kansas.
She and Dr. Lee Norman, Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment,  discuss the latest updates regarding COVID-19.
Statewide, confirmed coronavirus cases in Kansas rose Wednesday by 276, up to 5,734 total, though the actual number is thought to be higher because of limited testing and because people can be infected without showing symptoms. Reported COVID-19-related deaths increased by seven to 144.
