FINNEY COUNTY — A store in southwest Kansas has been linked to numerous cases of coronavirus, according to the Finney County Health Department.
On Monday, the agency reported that people who shopped at Tienda Variedades Candy, 107 North Jennie Barker Road in Garden City between March 16-30 may have been exposed to the virus and multiple who shopped there since have since become ill and tested positive for the virus.
Authorities notified the store and it has been closed since March 30, according to the health department. The store is being cleaned as outlined by CDC and KDHE guidelines.
The health department asked that anyone who shopped at the store between March 16-30 and are experiencing fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste and or smell to contact them, call the local coronavirus hotline 316-272-3600 to be appropriately screened.
