ELLIS COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just before 8a.m. Monday in Ellis County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Chevy Cobalt driven by Willhite, Anthony J. Willhite, 20, Mount Vernon, MO., was westbound on Interstate 70 one mile east of U.S. 183.
The vehicle left the roadway. The driver overcorrected into the north ditch and rolled.
EMS transported Willhite and a passenger Delany June Rose Moore, 19, Springfield, MO., to Hays Medical Center. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
