Wesley Medical Center begins additional screening for coronavirus

WICHITA —Wesley Healthcare remains focused on preparation efforts regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19). The hospital's efforts include reinforcing appropriate infection prevention protocols and guidance from the CDC, ensuring that we have the necessary supplies and emergency preparedness, according to a media release.

In an abundance of caution, as the the hospital often does during heavy flu outbreaks, they’re implementing visitor restrictions. Starting this week, visitors and patients are being directed to use specific entrances to help staff screen those who enter the hospitals.

Visitors are asked enter at one of these locations:- Emergency department entrance, open 24/7­- Main entrance (from parking garage or Hillside doors, doors will be open to patients and visitors from 4:30am-11:00pm­- Critical care entrance, open from 6am-6pm
