Kansas man, woman dead after 2-vehicle crash

SEDGWICK COUNTY — Two people died in an accident just before 10:30a.m. Thursday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Chrysler 200 driven by  Ira Duane Bonebright, 85, Conway Springs, was eastbound on Kansas 42  in the left turn lane at Maize road.

The driver failed to yield while turning left at an unprotected intersection with a solid green light.

A westbound 2002 Chevy Silverado driven by Andrew Bernard Devlin, 30, Conway Springs, was unable to slow its speed and struck the passenger side of Chrysler.

Bonebright and a passenger in the Chrysler Betty Eileen Bonebright, 86, Ashland, died from their injuries.  Devlin was not transported for treatment of a minor injury and was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
