Woman involved with "Operation Snowplow" arrested for meth distribution

On Tuesday, Jan. 14 at about 4 p.m. Barton County Sheriff’s Office detectives made an arrest for distribution of methamphetamine.

As part of an ongoing investigation, deputies made an arrest in the 2200 block of 12th St. in the City of Great Bend.

The white Ford Escape was operated by Candace D. Johnson, age 44 of Great Bend.

Sheriff’s Office K9 Maxx was at the scene and indicated the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle. Sheriff’s deputies discovered methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Barton County Jail without incident. She was booked on possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. Johnson is being held in lieu of a $300,000 bond.

Johnson had previously been arrested in “Operation Snowplow” in 2018.
