WALLACE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 1a.m. Wednesday in Wallace County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Honda Civic driven by Serena M. Hernandez, Tucson, Ariz., was westbound on U.S. 40 ten miles west of Sharon Springs.
The car entered the north ditch and the driver overcorrected. The car crossed both lanes of traffic, entered the south ditch and rolled.
EMS transported Hernandez and a passenger identified as Carreon, Andres Ramirez, 21, Tucson, Ariz., to the hospital in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado where Hernandez died.
Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
