ELLSWORTH COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before noon Thursday in Ellsworth County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Dodge 5500 driven by James L. Jiricek, 62, Ellsworth, was eastbound on Kansas 140 at Kansas 111. The vehicle struck the right rear corner of a 2015 Hino Straight truck driven by Bryce A. Pearson, 35, Hickman, NE., that failed to yield at the stop sign.
EMS transported a passenger in the Dodge Lorna Gale Lacefield, 56, Ellsworth, to Ellsworth Medical Center.
Jiricek and Pearson were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
