SEDGWICK COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating an armed robbery and have a suspect in custody after a chase and crash.

Just after 8:30p.m. Monday, police responded to an armed robbery call at Best Buy, 2100 Block of North Rock Road in Wichita, according to officer Charley Davidson.

The suspect left the scene in a red Chevy HHR. Police located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop at 13th and Hillside. The driver, later identified as Rodrecus Tobble, 31, Wichita, stopped, refused to exit the vehicle and sped away from officers.

Police chased and near the intersection of Pawnee and Hydraulic, a 2003 Chevy Silverado occupied by 2 adults and four children struck the Chevy HHR. Tobble and the occupants of the Silverado sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to Davidson.

Investigators learned Tobble entered the Best Buy, displayed a knife, demanded and took headphones, a charger, a garman and a cell phone.

Tobble is being held on requested charges of aggravated robbery, flee and attempt to elude, battery of a law enforcement officer and six counts of aggravated battery.

Police also recovered the stolen electronics, according to Davidson.
