SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities have identified 21-year-old Desabian Williams as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred Friday afternoon in the 600 block of South Eastern in Wichita, according to Officer Trevor Macy.

Shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, police were dispatched to a shooting call in the 600 block of South Eastern. Multiple calling parties reported hearing gunshots at an apartment complex at the location, and witnesses reported potentially multiple victims.

When officers arrived, they located Williams inside one of the apartment buildings. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An extensive crime scene was discovered, containing multiple firearms and numerous evidentiary items, according to Macy.

Witnesses reported seeing additional victims leaving the scene. Shortly after the initial call, another 911 call was made from a restaurant in the 100 block of South Rock Road. One of the victims from the shooting on Eastern was located at that location and transported to an area hospital by EMS. Another victim later arrived at the hospital via private vehicle.

Two adult male victims remained hospitalized on Monday, according to Macy.
