ATCHISON COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 2p.m. Friday in Atchison County.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, a Buick SUV driven by Mary Krier, 93, Effingham, was westbound in the 500 block of U.S.59.
The SUV turned north into a fence on the north side of the roadway and landed on its top in the parking lot below U.S. 59.
Mrs. Krier was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Wilson.
