WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department investigating a deadly weekend shooting have identified the victim as 29-year-old Michael Rickerson of Kansas City, Kansas.
Just before 3:30p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a shooting reported in the area of 10th and Kansas Avenue, according to a media release.
When officers arrived on scene, they discovered Rickerson who was the victim of apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased on scene.
Police have not reported an arrest or released suspect information.
