Kansas deputy found cocaine during traffic stop

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on multiple drug allegations.

Just before 2:30a.m. June 22, a sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge pickup near Interstate 470 and SW Burlingame Road, according to Shawnee County Deputy Abigail Christian.

During the interaction, the deputy discovered the driver identified as 32-year-old Jose A. Flores of Topeka had a warrant for his arrest. The deputy also noticed illegal narcotics.

The deputy arrested Flores on requested charges of possession of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and for the warrant.
