
SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after an arrest in Shawnee County.

Just before 4:30p.m. Wednesday, a man with a truck and trailer pulled across the roadway at the corner of SW Greenview Drive and SW Westview Road, according to Deputy Abigail Christian. The man, later identified as 47-year-old Alan J. Askew of Berryton exited the vehicle, and began shooting a firearm at people and vehicles.
Deputies responded to the scene and took Askew into custody.
One victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Other victims may have fled the scene, according to Christian.
Askew is being held on requested of charges of Aggravated assault; use of a deadly weapon; Aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer; Criminal discharge of a firearm; occupied vehicle with great bodily harm; Aggravated battery; knowingly use a weapon to cause great bodily harm/disfigure/death; Possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs; Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; Parking, standing, or stopping in a prohibited area
