
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating the shooting death of a 59-year-old Wichita man have made an arrest.
Just before noon on Sunday, police were dispatched to a shooting with injuries call in the 400 block of North Market Street in Wichita, according to a media release.

First responders found the 59-year-old man inside his car, suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS began lifesaving measures and transported him to a local hospital in critical condition, but he was pronounced dead at 2:30 p.m.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim arrived at the location with the gunshot wound. Investigators used every tool available to the department to determine what led up to this shooting. Just after 11:30p.m. Sunday, police booked 56-year-old Kevin Buggs in the Sedgwick County Jail in connection with the crime, according to county arrest records. He is being held on a requested charge of first degree murder.
Police have not released the name of the victim or additional details.
