Sheriff: Suspect was selling meth near a Kansas school

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. —Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on drug allegations.

Just after 6:30 p.m.,  May 16, a Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies assisted the Hoyt Police Department in locating a subject believed to have an outstanding warrant in the Hoyt area, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

Law enforcement officers located Jason Michael McClane, who was wanted on a Denison Municipal Court warrant, at 202 Annetta Ave. in Hoyt. McClane surrendered to deputies without incident.

During the investigation, deputies developed probable cause to seek a search warrant for the residence related to illegal drugs. A search warrant was obtained and executed at the residence, where deputies allegedly located methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. The residence was located within 1,000 feet of a school.

The following individuals were arrested and being held in the Jackson County Jail.

John Bradley Hudson, 50, of Hoyt is being held on requested charges that include

  1. Distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school
  2. Distribution of drug paraphernalia
  3. No drug tax stamp
  4. Possession of methamphetamine
  5. Possession of marijuana
  6. Possession of drug paraphernalia

Jason Michael McClane, 52, of Hoyt is being held on requested charges that include.

  1. Outstanding warrant from Denison Municipal Court
  2. Possession of methamphetamine
  3. Possession of marijuana
  4. Possession of drug paraphernalia
