KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a deadly knife attack and searching for a suspect.
Just after 4a.m. Friday, police were dispatched to 24th and Elmwood in Kansas City on a reported stabbing, according to KCPD Police Captain Corey Carlisle.
First responders located a man later identified as 53-year-old Bryan D. Hoover, suffering from apparent bodily trauma. Officers provided first aid until EMS arrived on scene and transported him to an area hospital were he later died from his injuries.
Initial investigation revealed the circumstances leading up to the homicide was the result of an argument. No one is in custody at this time and detectives are looking for a subject of interest.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Personnel responded to process the scene, recover any evidence and speak to any potential witnesses.
