Kansas man dies after SUV, semi crash

COFFEY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 6p.m. Wednesday in Coffey County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Ford Expedition driven by Angelo V. Turner, 51, Eureka, was southbound on U.S. 75 just south of Interstate 35. 

The SUV struck the #5 axel of a 2009 Kenworth semi driven by Johnnie L. Snodgrass, 67, Mound City, who was coming out of the truck stop and attempting to go Northbound on U.S. 75.

Turner was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Frontier Forensics. Snograss was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
