SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal October shooting moved a suspect who had been the subject of search over the past month to a jail in Topeka.
On Nov. 29, police in Kansas City, Kansas located 29-year-old Tremale M. Serrano after police asked the public for help to find him for the death of 23-year-old Jackson E. Danner of Topeka. He is being held on a $1million dollar bond on charges of second degree murder. He is also accused of a violation of a protection order of abuse and harass by telephone, according to online jail records.
On October 15, police responded to a report of an individual laying in the front yard of a home in the 1600 block of SW 21st Street in Topeka, according to police spokesperson Rosie Nichols.
First responders located. Danner who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
On November 14, police booked 33-year-old Aaron Serrano into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections in connection with Danner's death. He remains jailed on a $1 million bond for the alleged murder and faces accusations of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, theft and criminal damage to property, according to online jail records.
