KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement investigating another homicide in Kansas City have identified the victim as 52-year-0ld Anthony Lewis, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchins.
Just before 12:30a.m. Thursday officers were dispatched to a shooting at a house in the 2400 block of Brighton.
First responders located Lewis unresponsive next to the residence there. Officers called for EMS who responded and declared him deceased here at the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim and a suspect had an interaction inside the residence that escalated to shots being fired and Lewis being struck.
Based on information received by officers at the scene A subject of interest was detained at a separate location for further investigation. Police have not released the name of the suspect or possible charges.
