Manhattan—Lightning is being blamed for an early morning fire in Manhattan.
Just before 12:30 a.m. Friday, fire crews were dispatched to 320 Rosewalk Place for a report of a structure fire, according to Assistant Fire Chief Sam Dameron.
Upon arrival, crews found a single-story duplex with fire on the exterior gable of the structure above the garage.
Both sides of the duplex were occupied at the time of the fire and the three occupants of the structure were able to exit without injury.
Structure loss is estimated at $10,000 to 320 Rosewalk Place and $10,000 to 326 Rosewalk Place. There was no fire loss to the contents. The occupants were not displaced due to the fire, according to Damron.
