SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Monday bank robbery in Topeka and asking the public for help to find a suspect.
Just before 3 p.m., a woman allegedly threatened a teller for cash at Capitol Federal Savings Bank, 1201 SW Topeka Boulevard, according to a media release from the FBI. The suspect mentioned but did not show a weapon before leaving the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect as a black female in her early 40s, 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds. She was wearing a red shirt, reading glasses and a brown wig.
