LABETTE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas police officer for allegedly recording a girl in a bathroom in Labette County.
Just before 2:30a.m. July 25, deputies with the Labette County Sheriffs Office responded to a report of an individual allegedly videotaping a female juvenile in a bathroom, according to a media release.
Investigators collected video evidence and deputies arrested 28-year-old Tyller White. Just before 5:30p.m. Sunday, he was booked into the Labette County Jail on requested charges of Breach of Privacy and Official Misconduct. At the time of his arrest, White worked as a police officer for the city of Parsons.
The Parsons Police Department was made aware of the arrest. Upon learning of the allegations involving Officer Tyller White, the Parsons Police Department immediately initiated an Internal Affairs investigation while fully cooperating with the criminal investigation being conducted by the Labette County Sheriff's Office, according to Police Lieutenant Jason Ludwig.
Following a comprehensive review of the facts and evidence, the department determined that Officer White's conduct was inconsistent with the standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct expected of every member of the Parsons Police Department. He has subsequently been terminated.
