RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating an accidental shooting in Manhattan.
Just after 3:30p.m. Thursday, officers filed a report for unlawful discharge of a firearm and possession of stolen property report in the 100 block of Bluemont Avenue in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 20-year-old man was reported as both the victim and offender. He accidentally shot himself. EMS transported him Via Christi for treatment of his injuries. Police have not reported an arrest and released no additional details early Friday.
