SEDGWICK COUNTY —Just after noon on Saturday, the Derby Police Department was dispatched to the area near McIntosh and Songbird after receiving a report of a body next to the tracks, according to a media release.
Upon arrival, Derby Police found a person deceased next to the train tracks. The person had been struck by a train. The body was released to the Sedgwick County Coroner’s Office. Derby PD is working with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Police on the ongoing investigation.
