ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new allegations after a traffic stop.
Just before 10:30p.m. Thursday an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle near U.S. 73 and Woodlawn Avenue in Atchison for an alleged traffic violation, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
The driver of the vehicle later identified as 68-year-old Randall Gilliland of Atchison was found to be driving while suspended and subsequently found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Police arrested him on requested charges of driving while suspended, improper driving on laned highway, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
