SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a deadly Kansas crash have made an arrest in the case.
According to online booking records, 21-year-old Abygail Emalee Aaron of Wichita was booked into the Saline County Jail just after 12:30p.m. Tuesday on requested charges of second-degree murder, driving under the influence, improper driving on laned roadway and drive on left side of roadway.
On February 15, of 2023, The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Toyota Tundra driven by Aaron was southbound on Interstate 135 just south of Water Well Road at approximately 1a.m.
The pickup crossed the center median and struck a 2016 Ford F150 driven by Jose M. Rodriguez, 41, Salina, on the shoulder of the northbound lanes.
EMS transported Rodriguez and a passenger in the Ford identified as Daisha J. Endsley, 26, Salina, to Salina Regional Health Center where Endsley was pronounced deceased. EMS also transported Aaron to Wesley Medical Center. She remains jailed. Online booking records do not list a bond for her.
