LYON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations.
Just after 12:30 a.m. Monday, an officer with the Emporia Police Department spotted a wanted suspect identified as 36-year-old Alejandro Lara-Ceja driving a black 2008 Nissan Titan, in the southeast part of Emporia., according to Police Captain Ray Mattas
The officer attempted to stop the pickuup but Lara-Ceja fled from the officers. The pursuit covered parts of southeast and northeast Emporia and lasted approximately 6 minutes.
Police eventually made a stop and arrested Lara-Ceja for the warrants for bond revocation. He is being held on additional requested charges of Criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal discharge of a firearm recklessly at an occupied dwelling, possession of a firearm while under the influence or alcohol or drugs, DUI, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute within 1000 ft of a school and tampering with electronic monitoring equipment.
He was also confined at the Lyon County Jail on new requested charges of felony flee and elude, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felon in possession of a firearm. Lare-Ceja is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
