MARSHALL COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before noon Wednesday in Marshall County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Jeep Cherokee driven by Emily Jay Larson, 23, Breman, was westbound on U.S. 36 just east of West River Road.
The jeep crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2020 Buick Enclave driven by Bernice Marie Nietfeld, 89, Marysville.
Larson was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Kinsley Mortuary. EMS transported Nietfeld to Bryan West Medical Center, Lincoln, Nebraska. Both drivers were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
