SEDGWICK COUNTY —The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident involving a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Wichita.
Just after 6:30p.m. Friday, police were dispatched to a plane crash on Tracy Street, just east of Towne West Square, according to Officer Juan Rebolledo.
First responders learned that the pilot a 27-year-old woman from Wichita had to complete an emergency landing after having engine problems in her single-engine Cessna plane. There were no injuries, according to Rebolledo.
The plane and some street signs were damaged. The pilot was not injured, according to Rebolledo.
