Homicide: 93-year-old Kansas woman found dead in her home

BUTLER COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a homicide at a home in Butler County have identified the victim as 93-year-old Joanne Johnson, according to Augusta Department of Public Safety Detective Sergeant Chris Scheuber. 

On Sunday evening, police responded to report of an unattended death at the home in the 1700 Block of Robbins Street in Augusta, according to Augusta Director of Public Safety Todd Ackerman.

After further investigating, police determined the incident was a homicide that occurred sometime between Saturday night and Sunday night.  There were no other individuals living at the home.

Police have not identified any suspects, according to Scheuber.
